Information Canoogle processes
Search queries
When you search, Canoogle sends the query and selected search lane to the services needed to return results. Depending on the lane, that can include Canoogle’s SYRUP index and clearly identified third-party catalogues or mapping services.
Basic service records
Hosting and infrastructure providers may produce ordinary security and operational logs. Canoogle also uses a privacy-light visitor signal after a page has remained visibly open for eight seconds. That signal records the page path, broad device class, country supplied by Cloudflare, referrer or campaign label, dwell time, timestamp, and burst count. Canoogle does not intentionally put the search query, raw IP address, browser user-agent string, identity, fingerprint, or session identifier into that visitor ledger.
Support payments
If you choose to support Canoogle, the selected payment provider processes the transaction under its own privacy policy. Canoogle does not receive your complete card or wallet credentials.
YouTube-powered results
Canoogle uses YouTube API Services in its Videos and Music lanes. Search terms are sent by Canoogle’s server to the YouTube Data API. Canoogle does not ask you to sign in to YouTube, does not access your YouTube account, subscriptions, watch history, private videos, or other authorized user data.
Canoogle stores a renewable cache of non-authorized YouTube result metadata, such as query namespace, video ID, title, channel details, thumbnail references, and result timestamps. Cached searches are refreshed after seven days, and stored YouTube metadata is refreshed or removed before 30 days. Canoogle does not download or store YouTube audio or video.
YouTube and Google may receive information directly when you load or use an official YouTube player. Their handling of that information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service.
Sharing and retention
Canoogle does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate the requested feature, process a chosen payment, protect the service, or comply with law. Retention depends on the record: renewable provider caches follow the limits above, while security and operational records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for reliability, abuse prevention, and legal obligations.
Your choices
You can use Canoogle without a Canoogle account. You may avoid YouTube-powered processing by not using the Videos or Music lanes and by not loading embedded YouTube players. Questions or requests concerning Canoogle-controlled information can be sent to hi@aftech.ca.
This policy covers Canoogle. Linked websites, search-result destinations, media platforms, mapping providers, and payment processors apply their own terms and privacy policies.
