Why
Canada should have more than a localized window into somebody else’s index. Canoogle exists to make Canadian sources, institutions, creators, businesses, and public information easier to discover without hiding the wider web.
Canoogle is a Canadian-built search project growing an independent view of the web, one evidence-backed barrel at a time.

SYRUP gathers attributable documents into a growing barrel. At measured milestones, it bottles the index into preserved vintages. Retrieval, ranking, specialist lanes, and human tasting then decide what deserves promotion. Results keep their source links and the engine is allowed to admit uncertainty.
Canoogle was established in early 2025. Its 2026 revival restored the original personality while replacing the old dependency-shaped search path with a growing owned index and transparent specialist sources.
Built and tested in Canada for anyone who wants useful discovery with Canadian context. Maps, Music, Videos, Images, News, and Official results remain distinct lanes rather than one misleading soup.
Canoogle can boost attributable Canadian context and clearly labelled features. It does not quietly suppress a better result, disguise paid placement as organic evidence, or treat a .ca domain as proof of Canadian ownership.
SYRUP is Canoogle’s search engine and index-building system. The maple language is playful, but every word maps to a real quality-control step.
A working collection of attributable web documents. The barrel keeps growing between measured milestones.
The process of sealing a measured corpus milestone. Every 100,000 documents, SYRUP checksums, archives, audits, and benchmarks the barrel.
A preserved search edition made from a bottled corpus plus a specific retrieval, filtering, and ranking recipe.
Human relevance review. Real people compare results, flag bad pours, and decide whether a vintage deserves promotion.
